I put this site together to try and reach out to former CCUDA members and friends.
CCUDA, Clark County Underwater Divers Anonymous, if you don't already know, was a rebellious group of scuba divers who believed that diving should be a fun and safe activity without the polictics that always infiltrated other area dive clubs. If you don't know where Clark County is, then know that Las Vegas, Nevada is in Clark County. Although, this group was able to maintain that political indifference for a number of years, certain elements of that eutopian strategy eroded away with time. This erosion, in turn, along with other factors, became the demise of this popular group of divers.
Here is a non-exhautive list of some of the names I remember from CCUDA. The reason for publishing names here lies in the hope of attreacting some attention to this site when these names are googled. Hopefully, some will find this site and sign the guestbook. Lisa Baseel-Rich, Paul Rich, Kevin Grover, Chuck Baker, Mike Furphy, Dotty Furphy, Marc Bilodeau, Vi (Juanita) Bilodeau (Sivik), Joe Lightheart (sorry Joe if I remebered this wrong), Drew Boden, Pat Boden, Patrick Wynn, Dave (can't remember last name), Bob Gay, Steve Rosenthal, the Clark family and I'll post more as I remember them.
If you are one of these people or know them, pass this website along and sign the guestbook. I'm anxious to see how many people find this website. Maybe there can be a reunion, someday.
Deceased members I can remember are James Grainger, Stacy Grainger (I don't think I ever knew her real last name) and Don Green.
